How students and parents choose
A student looking for JEE, NEET or board-exam coaching, or a parent looking for a school, usually searches on Google, checks reviews on Maps, looks at Instagram, asks friends and then visits two or three places. Your job online is to show up in that search, look trustworthy, and make the first step, such as a demo class or campus visit, easy.
1. Plan around the admission calendar
Interest rises sharply before new batches and admission sessions. Start campaigns a few weeks before the peak, keep a smaller always-on budget the rest of the year, and prepare offers such as early-bird batches, scholarship tests or free demo classes in advance.
2. Be visible on Google search and Maps
Most admission journeys start with a search:
- Search ads for course + area searches, such as "NEET coaching Raj Nagar" or "CBSE school Indirapuram"
- A complete Google Business Profile with photos of classrooms, results boards (with permission) and timings
- Genuine reviews from students and parents, with polite replies to each one
3. Use Instagram and Facebook for trust
Short videos of teachers explaining a concept, toppers sharing tips (with consent), campus tours and event highlights build familiarity. Location-targeted ads on your best posts reach families nearby. Be careful with results claims: only share real, verifiable results with permission.
4. Make the next step a demo class or visit
"Call us for details" is a weak offer. A free demo class, a scholarship test or a campus visit slot gives people a reason to act now. Send ad traffic to a simple page for that one offer, with batch timings, fees range if you publish it, location and a short form.
5. Reply fast and follow up
Enquiries go cold quickly during admission season because families are talking to several institutes at once. An instant WhatsApp reply with batch details and demo timings, a call from your counsellor the same day, and a reminder before the demo all increase how many enquiries turn into admissions.
6. Track enquiries to admissions
Record where every enquiry came from and whether it became an admission. Cost per admission, not cost per lead, tells you which campaigns to scale next season.
